About the Subject
- Earl Campbell won the Heisman Trophy while playing for the University of Texas in 1977. He went on to play for the Houston Oilers (1978 – 1984) and New Orleans Saints (1984 – 1985). He is one of only 3 Heisman Trophy winners who went on to be a first overall draft pick and member of both the Pro Football Hall of Fame and College Football Hall of Fame
